Maybe, You're Just Too Good To Be True

I see you everywhere. In the eyes of the man sitting across from me on the bus. Maybe he wonders why I’m looking at him that way. In the gait of the stranger walking in front of me. The way that someone dresses. The way you said "Oh, I'm not good enough for you". When it's raining outside and I'm sitting in my room listening to our songs. Could you, maybe, be hiding there, in front of me? I hear your laugh, but when I look over, it isn’t you. Are these just projections? Do I just see you here because I want to see you here? Or are you somehow lingering here, around me?
