Happy birthday, Mr. Thomas Alva Edison. Thank you for bringing light into our lives. Tanpa adanya lampu yang diciptakan oleh Thomas Alva Edison, mungkin tidak akan ada pemandangan indah tiap malam yang selalu saya nikmati ketika sedang dalam perjalanan dan ketika saya sedang berada di loteng kosan saya. Yap, city light.
Tanpa adanya lampu, hidup juga tidak akan semeriah sekarang. Pasti semua akan terasa gelap dan suram. Saya tidak akan bisa membaca ketika malam, seperti yang setiap hari saya lakukan tiap malam menjelang.
Tanpa adanya lampu, saya mungkin akan sering merasa ketakutan. Karena saya suka mengalami paranoid ketika sedang berada di ruangan yang gelap. Saya juga akan semakin sulit melihat sesuatu.
So, Mr Thomas, you're already 164 years old, but people still tweeting, talking and quoting about you. It's because you're the greatest inventor all the time!

You are my family, my nakama, ma famille. You, with your dark hair and tired eyes, and your smile. Once, I begged you to 'have a mustache, Daddy!' Now I love the way you look, just as you are.
You come to wake me up in the mornings and I throw pillows, shriek, fake sleep. Underneath it all, I'm glad you're still coming even though I should just get an alarm clock, I should just wake up earlier, I should just go to bed earlier.
Sometimes you smile at me with this old smile, as if you're remembering something far away. Your own childhood, perhaps? There's a look in those eyes of yours that are brown with flecks of green and gold, one that makes me blush and fidget and beam because it says 'You're my daughter and I'm proud'.
Sometimes your shoulders stoop with the weight of our family. You bring in the cash, and I respect you for that. For not complaining. For not lashing out. For not getting mad at us. Instead, you fall asleep during the movies we watch. You take walks with us. You cook for us.
Little by little, you pass parts of yourself onto us. Lucky loves drawing, Putri enjoys organizing something, I love science. We cook together, play together, hang out together.
I don't mind. You're my dad, and you're a good dad too.
You hold my hand when I feel sick, listen but don't judge. Raspberry me when I wish wish wish you wouldn't, laugh at and with me because choosing one is too hard. You tell bad jokes and make worse puns, like to work with wood, take your stress away by cooking and sleep on the couch too much. Sometimes you're completely oblivious, other times you choose to look the other way and I appreciate that.
You, my dad, are more than just that. You are a friend.
And I love you, for the reasons above and more.

Thanks a lot, God. Gue udah diberi kesempatan hidup sampai sekarang. Semoga dengan bertambahnya umur, gue makin mawas diri & bisa lebih mensyukuri apa yang selama ini udah Tuhan beri. My-Almost-Twenty-Years-Old-Wishes
As usual, tiap orang yang ulang tahun pasti punya beberapa harapan buat ke depannya. Begitu juga dengan saya. Hanya beberapa yang saya tulis di sini, karena yang lainnya rahasia hihi :p 1. Makin tuwir makin dewasa. Umur memang ga melambangkan kedewasaan seseorang. Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.
2. Makin ada semangat buat belajar & kuliah. Abisan kadang suka timbul rasa ogah-ogahan buat kuliah sih.
3. Dimudahkan rejekinya sama Tuhan, jadi kerjaannya ga cuma makan popmie melulu ahaha.
4. Dikasih jodoh yang baik buat gue. Yang menerima gue apa adanya. Yang selalu bisa bikin gue ketawa kikikikik ;p
5. Bisa lulus 4 tahun dengan IPK minimal 3 jadi gue bisa ngebanggain orang tua gue, especially my beloved mamsky.
6. The last but not least, TUGAS UTS TAKE HOME DEMOHAM, 3G & HI Kawasan bisa selesai tepat waktu. Terus UTS PHI, Comparative Politics, dll bisa dikerjain dengan lancar dan dapet nilai yang memuaskan.

Happy Birthday Sayuuurrr!!!!
Besok, si Garry ultah yang ke 18. Masih muda ya, padahal gue aja udah 18 dari April kemaren. Kado udah gue siapin, tapi kuenya belom. Nah, setelah UAS Bahasa selese, gue nekat mau cabs ke Bandung dengan nebeng si Icha buat beli cheesecake. Padahal saat itu kondisi gue sedang tidak fit, yap sakit mata. Abis beli, kan gue mesti naek damri tuh. Terus gue susurin sepanjang jalan A. Yani. Tanya sana-sini kalo damri lewatin sini ga, nyasar-nyasar dulu. Setelah 2.5 jam menunggu, damri yang menuju ke arah Jatinangor tersayang pun lewat. Bujubuseeet, udah persis kayak ikan teri yang dijejel-jejelin ke toples. Fiuh bismillahirahmanirahim semoga kuenya ga hancur ato leleh ato terkontaminasi keringat dari para penumpang damri yang terkadang suka tidak biadab ngetekin gue. Sampe di Jatinangor, BREEESSSS hujan deras. Oh my oh my, so great banget lah. Sekarang tinggal mikirin, surprisenya gimana ya. Terus gue sms fikry, deny, bbmin okky, dll.Jam 11 teng, di alfamart korkop. Gue, Pikri, Icha, Anind, Dea, Okky, Sani, Meita, Yockie, Natya & Deny udah nyusun rencana buat surprisin dia. No ceplokin, no telor busuk, no comberan buat sekarang. Bener-bener murni ngasih surprise. Kita pun menyusup ke kosan si Deny, dan gue mesti nunduk-nunduk biar ga keliatan bayangannya di jendela. Jdeeerrr.. Lilinnya ngebakar rambut gue hahahaha tolol banget. Gue sampe nahan-nahan suara biar ga teriak tau ga. Sebelom gue kesitu, gue sempet bbman sama dia. Gue bilang kalo gue sakit haha biar ga ketauan kalo kita mau ngasih surprise. Terus pas Yockie mau masuk ke dalam, ternyata pintunya dikunci. Cklek.. cklek.. Yah ketauan deh haha, akhirnya anak-anak ngasih selamat hari burung buat Garry, tapi gue masih sembunyi tuh dengan muka yang kepanasan kena lilin. TADAAAA SUPRISEEEEE… Wah ga kebayang deh mukanya dia pas itu kayak gimana, campur aduk antara kaget, malu, seneng, terharu, ya gitulah.
